DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
MON. 25.01.2021
TODAY’S VERSE: 1 CORINTHIANS 9:25-27
THEME: BEAT YOUR BODY AND MAKE IT YOUR SLAVE
WORDS OF HOPE:
A victorious life is not optional for the Christian; It is destiny. The Christian does not choose to live successfully; it is his life. What this means is that, it is more difficult for the Christian to fail than for him to succeed.
Then why are many of God’s children struggling? The apostle Paul in our anchor text shows why many lose their race. The Message translation has this to say:
“… Everyone runs, one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally. I don’t know about you, but I’m running hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything I’ve got. No sloppy living for me! I’m staying alert and in top condition. I’m not going to get caught napping, telling everyone else all about it and then missing out myself.”
[1 Corinthians
He contends many are sluggish and aimless. They equally do not condition their bodies. To win, therefore, he teaches the following:
• strict training
• purposefulness
• discipline
Run to win, beloved of God!
PRAYER TOPICS:
• Thank God for predestining you to a life of success and glory
• Declare that nothing shall stop the good outcome of God’s life in you from manifesting.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, what a great life I have been born into. Thank you for the successful outcome of my life. I am aiming for the finishing line gloriously in Jesus’ name. Amen
