TOPIC: LOVE CHRIST APPEARANCE
WORDS OF HOPE:
In verse 8 of today’s scripture, Paul assures us that there is a reward for all those who love and long for the appearance of Christ. You cannot love the appearance of someone when you know that punishment or evil will be your portion. A child expecting a gift from the mother who has gone to the market will always love to hear the footsteps of her returning mother. Likewise, Christians are also to keep their eyes on the rewards according to our works from the Lord Jesus Christ.
We must continue to fight the good fight, keep the faith and finish the race set before us. It won’t be easy but endure those hardships. Keep to sound doctrine, proclaim the Gospel to others. By so doing, you are assured of a great reward and you will always long for the coming of our Lord Jesus.
PRAYER TOPICS:
• Pray that you will stand ready for the coming of the Lord Jesus.
• Pray for the grace to fight the good fight of faith.
• Pray that you will always keep your eyes on the reward you will receive at the coming of Jesus.
PRAYER:
May our lives be one that is always ready for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
