DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
TODAY’S VERSE: II CORINTHIANS 13:10-15
THEME: FELLOWSHIP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
WORDS OF HOPE:
As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after Thee
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship Thee.
This song depicts the writer having a relationship with someone; His Lover. This is fellowship! Fellowship with the Holy Spirit is having Him as a friend and a companion. A shoulder to cry on when we need comfort. John 14:26 describes the Holy Spirit as a Comforter. It’s only in fellowship with Him that we can feel His comfort. As we sing songs of adoration and gratitude to Him, we feel all our sorrows been attended to by Him and the assurance of His love. It’s only in fellowship with Him that we are able to feel and know His presence.
Another meaning of fellowship is companionship. We are never alone. God is with us and He is for us. When we have that companionship with Him, it becomes a reality that we are never alone. Hallelujah!
What an honour having the Holy Spirit as our partner. As married couples stay in the same house as partners, so is the believer who has agreed to have a relationship with the Holy Spirit. He is yours and you are His. I pray that our souls will pant, hunger and desire for the Holy Spirit. May this be the desire of your heart today and forever.
• Pray for the grace to have a sweet lasting relationship with the Holy Spirit.
• Pray for a strong desire and hunger for the Holy Spirit.
• Pray for the staying power to be in His presence.
Father I desire to have a relationship with you that will always draw me closer to you. May I stay away from the noise of this world so that I will always be drawn to you. Amen
