DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
TODAY’S VERSE: 2 CORINTHIANS 4:16-18
TOPIC: DO NOT LOSE HOPE
WORDS OF HOPE:
From the time we were born, we have grown over the years till our present age. As we grow older, our physical bodies are also in the process of dying. Death is a fact of life that we must all face: “And as it is appointed unto men once to die…” Hebrews 9:27. But until death comes our way, we go through times of serious afflictions and troubles.
Sickness may attack our bodies. Under such circumstances, we may feel this “wasting away” process more directly. Some chronic diseases like cancer may not feel like “a light momentary afflictions” to the affected person. Yet, Paul says that comparing those afflictions to the eternal glory in Jesus, all these afflictions, no matter how severe it may be, are “light momentary affliction”. Do not lose hope.
Hebrews 10:39 teaches us, “But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.”
What are you going through now? Don’t lose hope. Fix your eyes on Jesus. Keep your faith alive and God will surely see you through to the end.
• Thank God for the assurance that He is always with you even in challenging moments.
• Pray that God will increase your faith in the midst of afflictions.
• Pray for the grace not to lose hope no matter the challenges.
We declare that because the Lord is on our side, we are more than conquerors in Jesus name. Amen
