DAILY WORDS OF HOPE

TODAY’S VERSE: REVELATIONS 4:1-11
THEME: WORSHIPING GOD IN SPIRIT
WORDS OF HOPE:
In the Gospel of John, the Apostle drew the attention of believers to worship God in Spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24). This shows that worship is spiritual and involves sincerity of heart. Worshipping God encompasses the totality of our being but our concentration today is limited to using songs (adoration and praise). Worship is a spiritual exercise and God requires a heart rightfully conditioned to praise and adore Him in songs.
The Holy Spirit presents us whole before God as Jesus Christ does through His cleansing and intercessory acts. John in this scripture on the revelation at Patmos indicates how he was moved into the realm of the Spirit in order to see how the glorious host of heaven worshipped the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
To enter the gates and courts of thanksgiving and praise requires a heart prepared to meet the Maker and worshipping Him means allowing the Spirit to help and lead you. The power of worship cannot be underestimated, as through it, demon-possessed were cast out, chains and prison doors were broken and opened and many signs and wonders performed to the glory of God. True worship requires yielding to the Holy Spirit and He leading you to the throne of grace to be able to say, ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty’. (vs 8).
Worship God in the Spirit.
• Pray for the empowerment and leading of the Holy Spirit in Worship.
• Pray for the sincerity of heart and mind in worship.

Holy Spirit, my helper and friend, I yield my members to you. Take me, move in me and use me to your glory. Amen
