A week after the Children’s Service Department of the Hope Congregation of the PCG set the ball rolling for the Christmas festivities, the adult service experienced a full package as the church choir led the entire congregation in a festival of Nine Lessons and Carols Service ahead of Christmas.

Also appearing on stage were Singing Band, Royals of Hope, the JY Choir and the Children Service Choir who delivered a beautiful song that drew applause from the congregation.

In an exaltation, Rev. Frederick Kotey Ashaley explained the birth of Jesus is celebrated because divinity took the form of humanity in the process of redemption thus Jesus who was God became man.

He further said Jesus became poor that mankind might become rich as captured in 2 Cor. 8:9

Rev Ashaley said Jesus became the light of the world as a result, Christians do not walk in darkness any longer and have been given direction

He expressed the hope that as the world and Christians celebrate this day, God will visit them with miracles, signs and wonders.

The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is a service of Christian worship celebrating the birth of Jesus that is traditionally followed by Christmas.
