The Young Adult Fellowship of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Sakumono Estates on Saturday. September 10, 2016 made a donation to New Life Nungua Children’s Home.
The team led by its the executives presented various food items, provisions and clothing to orphans and vulnerable children at the orphanage. During the visit, members interacted with the orphans and the vulnerable children in groups and also encouraged them individually.
The presentation forms part of a series of activities lined up for the 10th Anniversary celebration of the group and to demonstrate their commitment toward the welfare of inmates at the orphanage.
YAF was formed by the Church to address mid life challenges of church members who fall within the age 30 and 40 and to ensure that such categories of people remain in the church. The anniversary celebration commenced on with a retreat on Friday, September 2 to Sunday, September 4, 2016.
Other events lined up are as follows:
Sunday, 11th September 2016: Relationship Talk/Couples Rendezvous on the topic; “Trust and communication for effective and sustainable relationships”
Saturday, 17th September 2016: Family Day out to Sajuna Beach
Sunday, 18th September 2016: Launch of the 10th Anniversary in all three services
Sunday, 18th September 2016 (Evening): Music Festival, featuring the HOPE Music Ministry, Sakumono Youth Choir and the GHAPOHA choir.
On Monday, 19th September, 2016, There will be a Business Talk on the topic, “A Christian Youth in Business: How to Survive in Difficult Economic Times”
It will be followed on Tuesday, 20th September, 2016 with a quiz for the Generational Groups within the congregation.
Between Wednesday, 21st and Thursday, 22nd September, 2016, the will be a Revival to be followed by a Night of HOPE on Friday, 23rd September, 2016.
A dinner event is scheduled for Saturday, 24th September, 2016. The anniversary will be climaxed on Sunday, 25th September, 2016 with a Thanksgiving Service, awards and graduation in all three services.
