Hope Congregation Boys’ and Girls holds Enrollment Service as new Captains are inducted into office

The Boys and Girls Brigade of the Hope Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in Sakumono-Estates has held its enrollment service for this year.

The ceremony held on Sunday, August 11, 2019 saw some members earned promotions to higher ranks and other probationers became full-fledged members.

It also witnessed the appointment of Mr Eric Boakye-Ansah and Ms Barbara Hamah as the Captains for the 15th and 15 Tema Company of the Boys’ and Girls Brigade of the Hope Congregation.

One of the key objectives of the Boys and Girls’ Brigade in the church is to help inculcate discipline in the youth and the church

Members of the Brigade after the enrollment service and conferment of appointments mounted a parade which was reviewed, by Rev. Frederick K. Ashaley, the second minister in charge of the congregation, who was installed as the New Chaplain for the Company.

The colourful parade was characterised by smart drills and displays accompanied by melodious music provided by the band.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of National, Regional and District Officers of the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigade.

They included Mrs Addison (Girls” Brigade Regional Commissioner for Tema Volta), Mr Derrick Lokko (Outgoing Boys’ Brigade Regional Organiser) and Mr Perry Ahorni, (Regional Boys’ Brigade Organiser elect)
