TODAY’S VERSE:
And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should [a]scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
Mark 4:26-29
THEME: GROW IN THE LORD
WORD OF HOPE:
In this era of fast foods, fast cash, quick cash, abridged courses, instant cash, instant passport pictures, express passports and visas, there appear no room for waiting and gradual growth is losing out in the vocabulary of many. During the period of growth, they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. (Is 40:31). The wings are meant to fly and rise to the next levels and the walk to the next places. There is a role we are to play and God also has a role to play. Are you playing your role? What comprises the role you have to play; taking up a short course, schooling, and consistent quiet time, taking on that additional responsibility etc. Focus on your role and play it to the best of your divinely empowered ability and God will be faithful on his part. The role of the soil is to provide nutrients to the plant; it’s the plant’s responsibility to reach out through its roots to get the nutrients in the soil and send these up to manufacture for its growth and fruitfulness. For in the kingdom of grace, as in nature, we are laborers together with God; the results of our work depend on him, and for the perfection of these results he takes his own time (1Cor 3:6-9).
PRAYER POINTS:
· Pray thanking God for the revelation today and growth in the Lord.
· Pray for patience to grow in the Lord.
· Pray for protection for yourself, family, ministry, career etc. during this growth process.
PRAYER:
My strength is renewed now in the Lord and my growth is assured in Christ Jesus. Amen🙏🏽
