The Young Adult Fellowship (YAF) of the Hope Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Sakumono-Estates has donated some assorted items to the Anchor of Hope Ministry as part of its effort to help the aged members of the congregation.
Items donated included three sets of Ludu, two sets of Oware, two sets of board game, (dame), two sets of scrabble, and three pieces of playing cards.
Mr. Eric Agyei, President of YAF explained that the donation follows a request from the Aged Ministry during an interactive programme held July this year dubbed “Time with our Parents” during which the senior citizen made a request for indoor games.
“We decided to support them in order to make their meeting fun-filled and exciting”. He said
The Anchor of Hope Ministry is made up of senior citizens of the church of varying backgrounds, who have committed to dedicating their time, talent and treasure to serve the church and society.
The leadership of the group made up of Major (rtd) Cat. Ntow, Mrs Comfort Ansah, Mrs. Vida Ofosuhene, Mrs. Bossman Armah and Ms. Mary Fianko who received the items expressed their gratitude to the leadership of YAF for their timely aid and kind gesture.
