Members of the Young Adults Fellowship (YAF) of the Hope Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Sakumono Estates on Saturday, September 15, 2018 embarked on a one day spiritual retreat in the serene environs of the Patmos Retreat centre located in Akuapem-Akropong.

The trip to Akuapem-Akropong forms part of activities marking this year’s relationship month celebration of the group. The theme for the month celebration is; “Let the Earth Hear: The Power of God”

More than 60 members made the trip to the Prayer Centre to seek the face of God.

Members prayed on topics covering Career/Jobs/Business, Ministry, Marriage and Family Life, Financial Breakthrough, Singles and Seeking for Partners. Prayers were led by Ing. Solomon Adi and Prophet George. Prophet George ministered through prayers and prophetic exhortations and was supported by a team from the Soul Harvest International Team.

Patmos Retreat centre was established in 2002. The centre is located in Akuapem-Akropong, in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The retreat centre was created to serve as a prototype of what is popularly known as a “Prayer Camp” should look like.

The name of the place originates from Revelation 1:9. Patmos is the island on which the Apostle John was exiled after being tortured and left to die. Instead, he recovered and wrote the book of Revelations.

At Patmos, the most important things are recovery, the Word of God and Testimonies about Jesus Christ.

Individuals, church groups and para-church organization occasionally visit the centre for meditation and prayer.
