HOPE Congregation marks the Resurrection of Jesus Christ with Praise and Worship

We are a church that belives in Jesus christ and the followers and We are a church that belives in Jesus christ

The HOPE Congregation of PCG on Easter Sunday marked the Resurrection of Jesus Christ with a special church dedicated to Praise and Worship. The whole Church premises was full to capacity, with the majority of the congregation dressed in white attire to mark the victory of Jesus Christ, our  saviour over death.

The congregation, led by the various music groups, the Church Choir, Royals of Hope, Singing Band sang praises to God, and danced themselves out to mark the event.

The Resurrection Sunday was also used to launch HOPE Congregation’s annual harvest for 2015. In a short exaltation, Mr. Roland Adom, a member of Session focused on a passage from John 20:19-29. He, specifically touched on Thomas declaration in verse 28……”and Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and My God” stressing that it was a statement of Praise and Worship and a proof that we as Christians must praise our resurrected Christ.

Secondly, he said that statement is a statement of embarrassment in humility and adequate proof that Jesus Christ is alive.

Harvest
Launching this year’s harvest, the Resident Minister, Rev. Stephen N. L. Lawson asked the congregation not to be disillusioned at the mention of the development project being embarked on but believe that because Christ resurrected all things are possible. He said Session has agreed that two weeks from today, the ground floor of the Children’s Block be commissioned.

Rev Lawson said it has also been resolved by Session that by the 31st of December, all the windows and doors should be fixed on the block to allow for usage.

HARVEST TIMETABLE

Rev Lawson announced the time table for this year’s harvest as follows:

  • May 31- First Mini Harvest
  • July 26- Second Mini Harvest
  • September 27- Third Mini Harvest
  • November 29- MAIN HARVEST

He urged the congregation to prepare their hearts to support the harvest by surrounding ourselves to the LORD.
