DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION – SAK. EST.
Thomas said to him, My Lord and my God! John 20:28 (NIV)
THEME: SO THAT YOU WILL BELIEVE
WORDS OF HOPE:
Have you ever been called a doubting Thomas? Usually it is meant to be negative, suggesting that questions or doubts are somehow wrong or that one’s faith is weak. But doubt is not necessarily the absence of faith. Questions and doubts are part of human existence. They serve a purpose. Just as our knowledge grows when we ask questions, so our spiritual life grows. What we believe becomes clearer to us, our faith increases and our relationship with God deepens.
Jesus did not condemn Thomas for having doubts, nor does he condemn us. Rather, he says in effect, come to me and touch me. Let me show you that I am real and alive, so that you may believe. Jesus, same today invites us to look at him for a new growth, for an opportunity for the Holy Spirit to speak and to work in us, so our faith in him will increase. Then we can all say in confidence along with uncle Thomas MY LORD AND MY GOD…!!
● Thank you Jesus for the confidence in you.
● Pray that you would know the Lord more and be increased.
● Pray that your doubts would make you know the Lord the more.
Lord God strengthen our faith and help us look to you for answers to our questions. Amen🙏🏽
