DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
MON. 15.02.2021

TODAY’S VERSE: ROM 8:26

THEME: THE HOLY SPIRIT; OUR HELPER IN PRAYER

WORDS OF HOPE:
It is of great importance to note that, Jesus Christ never taught His disciples how to preach but He did teach them how to pray. Prayer is a necessity for survival in the Christian’s life hence Jesus in His days spent most times praying to the Father. This sets as our example, hence the disciples then, asked Jesus to teach them to pray (Luke 11:1). As
Christians today, God has given us another Helper (teacher) in prayer, the Holy Spirit who teaches us how to pray.
Rom. 8:26 states “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered”. Mostly on our own, we are weak to pray to God and sometimes we do not even know what to pray for or how to pray.
In these weaknesses, if we depend on the Holy Spirit, He helps us to pray. He makes intercession for us according to the will of God. Beloved don’t try to do it on your own, when you don’t know what or how to pray, the Spirit himself will make intercession for you. Keep fellowship with the Spirit and He’ll strengthen you in prayer.

PRAYER TOPICS:
• Pray to God that He will give you the grace to heed to the promptings of the Spirit in prayer
• Pray that the Holy Spirit strengthen you to intercede for others
• Pray for divine assistance in all your endeavours

PRAYER:
Father, we pray that your Spirit will guide and strengthen us in prayer when we intercede for others. Amen
