THEME: FAITH THAT MOVES MOUNTAINS
WORDS OF HOPE:
Jesus describes to his disciples that the amount of faith required to move a mountain could be as little as a mustard seed. I did not know what a mustard seed looked like until I received some from a reverend minister who recently returned from a trip to Israel. It was so tiny, smaller than a grain of millet!
As I held the grains of mustard seed in my palm, I reflected on the words of Christ in Mat. 17:30 “if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you”. Essentially, Christ teaches us that all we need to do the impossible is to have faith that it will be done, and it will be done.
Like the mustard seed that grows into a large plant, God’s will for you is that your faith in Him grows large, deep and wide as we experience Him more (Rom. 10:17). When you place your faith in God and exercise it to bring his glory every “mountain” in your life will move because nothing will be impossible for you!
PRAYER TOPICS:
• Thank the Lord for His encouragement to us today: we only need to have faith when we pray and what we ask will be done
• Ask the Holy Spirit to help us as we exercise our faith that we would grow to experience God more.
• Pray that every “mountain” in your life be moved
PRAYER:
Lord, I believe in your word. I stand in the confidence in you that I shall decree a thing and it shall come to pass! Amen
