DAILY WORDS OF HOPE

(Lent Day 10 🛐)
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a] I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91: 1-2
THEME: The LORD is your REFUGE
WORDS OF HOPE:
Every day, we wake up in the morning to radio discussions and other news items that are so disturbing especially in the urban areas. In the rural areas also, naked poverty and avoidable diseases stare one in the face and we would like to avoid that as well. The question is: where can I take refuge for a moment and in peace? There is a place, do not worry. God foresaw all these things and His promises of protection is found in Psalm 91. Note that the psalm does not say you won’t be in dangerous places nor you won’t find yourself in serious trouble. It says that God will protect you against harm. It says that God will be with you in trouble and will rescue you. Meditate on this Psalm. Christian journeys are potentially difficult, as was Jesus’ forty–day fast in the wilderness. It is during our most difficult journey that the devil whispers into our ears the easiest alternative options in the same way as he did to Jesus when he asked him to turn a stone into bread. Note that Jesus overcame the devil with scripture. May you be knowledgeable in the word of God.
· Pray that God’s protection will always be with you.
· Pray to ever dwell and abide under the shadow of the almighty.
· Pray for consistency in your devotional life.
Lord, deliver me and my family from all forms of evil and let your protection be upon my family in the name of Jesus. Amen🙏🏽
