DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION – SAK. EST.
And foreigners who bind themselves to the LORD to minister to him, to love the name of the LORD, and to be his servants, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant. These I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations. Isaiah 56:6-7 (NIV)
THEME: OUR PROMISES IN GOD
WORDS OF HOPE:
Some things go together as though they were made for each other; a walk and a beautiful day; a friend and a great time; obedience to God and a joyful heart. As today’s word says those who hold fast to God’s covenant will receive joy. The people of Israel had endured conquest by the Babylonians, exile in a distant land, and the despair of finding their temple and city in ruins when they returned to Jerusalem. Yet one thing remained to give them identity. One thing remained to give them new courage in the face of great disappointment: the covenant of God, given to Abraham and Sarah centuries before. God promised, I will bless you and you will be a blessing (Gen 12:2). We are blessed with the presence of Christ, so that we may bless others in his name. And in obedience to this promise there is joy.
· Thank the Lord for His promises.
· Pray that you will never forget the promises you have in Christ Jesus.
· Pray for the grace to be obedient to the promise.
God, enable us to know the joy of following Jesus Christ regardless of the circumstance that may come our way. Amen AMEN 🙏🏽
