WORDS OF HOPE:
The mind is part of the soul of man together with his will and emotions. Your mind is unlimited in its potential to create what you desire but a poor or depraved mind is inimical to life.
How do you renew your mind? To renew your mind, you must first know what the mind is. It is different from the brain. It is the faculty of your reasoning and thoughts. The mind is to the soul what the brain is to the central nervous system. This means your mind is intangible.
Until we came to know Christ, the mind was tutored by our senses – sight; touch, hearing, smell and taste but these are very sensual and limited. God’s word, according to Hebrews 4:12, is the only resource that can properly reach the mind, which is domiciled in your soul. To renew your mind, therefore;
• You must accept God’s thoughts and opinions, revealed in His word
• You must deliberately exchange your ideas for God’s ideas and
• Learn to think and talk like God.
We can only, therefore, renew our minds if we make meditating on God’s word a priority. Spend time to think deeply about what the word of God says. When you do, intentionally accept God’s position in place of yours. Now vocalise your newly acquired perspective. This is how to practicalize Joshua 1:8.
PRAYER TOPICS:
• Thank God for His word which is able to reach and transform your soul and spirit
• Pray that your mind is tutored by God’s word as you spend time engaging it.
PRAYER:
Father, I declare that my thoughts are aligned to your thoughts; therefore, your words are on my lips and in my heart in Jesus’ name. Amen
