We are a church that belives in Jesus christ and the followers and We are a church that belives in Jesus christ

(Lent Day 20 🛐)
THURS. 28.03.2019

You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.
Psalm 63.1–8

THEME: Finding strength for life’s journey

Let us admit it, there are moments and times in our Christian life when we feel the enemy is closer than the Redeemer. The situation can be generated by economic conditions, diseases, or spiritual attacks. It may not be you directly but even in an indirect situation the enemy appears winning and the Redeemer appears silent. The Psalmist was in a similar situation, so he opens the Psalm this way:
‘Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered, let those who hate Him flee before him’.
The good thing is that the Psalmist goes on to exhort the righteous to rejoice in the Lord. He goes on to extol the greatness of the Lord, father of the fatherless, the defender of the widow and all. This shows that in the midst of a difficult situation, it is good to remember that God is still God and He will not abandon you. The stark truth is that it has never been easy to turn to God in moments like this. Many have made ‘shipwreck’ of their faith in troubled times. Job’s experience comes to mind and it is often quoted in troubled times. The question is if Job knew that all he was going through had the permission of God and was meant to test him, he would not have lamented much the way he did.

● Pray for God’s power and glory to be revealed to you in the most unlikely instances.
● Pray that you will find peace in the shadow of God’s wings.
● Lord, help me to keep pressing on.

Lord, help me to depend on you in all situations. Amen🙏🏽
