WORDS OF HOPE:
Imagine you are expected to make a journey with a high-profile personality. You got up early in the morning and made all necessary preparations. The agreement was that you must be ready before he gets to your end because he would not wait even a minute for you. With this at the back of your mind, you got well dressed and seated to wait for this person. Several hours passed but he did not show up. Out of frustration, you got up to undress and even soiled your dress in the process. Just after you undressed, the person arrived. He had to leave you because he found you not ready when he arrived.
This will be similar to the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is coming sooner than we can imagine. He is coming with a reward for every believer according to what you have done. What reward are you prepared to receive? Have you washed your robe in order to have the right to eat the tree of life? Will you be in the city or the outer darkness?
Examine yourself. Behold, the Saviour comes.
PRAYER TOPICS:
• Thank God for the assurance of the coming of the Savior.
• Pray for the grace to excel in good works.
• Pray that you will always be ready for the coming of the Savior.
PRAYER:
Grant unto me the grace to always stand ready for your coming in Jesus’ name. Amen
