DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
TODAY’S VERSE: JOHN 14:26
THEME: THE POWER OF REMEMBRANCE
WORDS OF HOPE:
The word ‘remember’ is defined as “to bring to mind or think of again; to keep in mind for attention or consideration, to retain in the memory” (NLT dictionary/concordance).
Daily, as humans, we have diverse encounters that we reflect on.
Like the disciples, Jesus had given many parables and also concluded teachings on some important things to come and to prepare them towards it, Jesus knew the human mind needed not only to contain but needed to remember them.
He drew their attention to the fact that, the Holy Spirit will not only teach them but will bring to their remembrance all that He (Jesus) had said.
Do you have a challenge studying the Word and also remembering what you studied from the Word? God has given us His Spirit to teach us and also remind us what He has said.
The Bible contains a lot of teachings, promises, blessings, directives (commands) and God expects us to live by them and be blessed by them. But until we know and remember them, we cannot live to please Him and enjoy His blessings and benefits.
The Spirit of God is there to plant the Word of truth in us, help us to live the Word and remind us not to stray from it.
• Pray and thank God for the ministry of the Holy Ghost at work in your life
• Pray that God gives you the grace to live out things that He brings to remembrance through the Holy Spirit
• Pray for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit in your daily walk
Dear Lord, please bring me into remembrance your commandments by the ministry of the Holy Ghost Amen!
