DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
TODAY’S VERSE: DANIEL 6:25-28
THEME: A LIFESTYLE OF PRAYERFULNESS (3)
WORDS OF HOPE:
Let nothing distract you from your time with God. We start strong with a daily habit of an audience with Him and then we start “not showing up” by giving excuses that He “should understand”: we slept late, an upcoming deadline, a need to beat the early morning traffic, a demanding boss, a family errand and the list goes on.
As we have learnt, Daniel was a key minister in the Babylonian empire, he must have been a very busy man. Yet, he put all the pressures of work, family, friends and his position and in humility observed his personal time of prayer with God. From his moments with God, he found the strength to take on each day, wisdom to conduct his affairs,
and confidence in God’s mighty hand to deliver him from whatever trials lay ahead of him.
When we prioritize God above all other things, that places a demand on us and maintain a daily encounter with Him, He does not only build us up spiritually, He also influences our life, choices and relationships for His glory. Indeed, we learn to trust God in every situation and to seek His face every step of the way. We also influence our families, friends, workplace and community in the many ways God provides, delivers, inspires and declares His mighty power through us!
• Ask the Holy Spirit to help you place God above every situation or circumstance
• Tell the Lord to help you learn to trust Him more.
• Ask God to intervene in your situation
Lord, you are my God and I place you far above any situation. Help me to remain faithful to you so that your power is seen in my life! Amen
